MJ Delaney

MJ Delaney is one of the most in demand directors of the moment.

In recent years alone, she has directed for a plethora of much loved television drama, whether that be Frank of Ireland, Ten Percent (the British adaptation of France’s smash hit Call My Agent) and best of all Ted Lasso, on seasons 1 and 2. Most recently MJ received an Emmy nomination for her work on the latest season, just as she did on the first season.

She has been named as one of Company Magazine’s ’30 Most Powerful Women in Television Under 30′ and one of Broadcast Magazine’s ‘Hotshots in 2012’. And if you couldn’t top that off, she won the BAFTA in 2018 for Best Short Form Program for Morgana Robinson’s Summer written by Sharon Horgan.

MJ is right at home when directing some of the biggest talent in the business, and nothing seems to phase her. In 2016, she teamed up with Global Goals to release ‘What I Really Really Want’, a re-direction on the classic Spice Girls promo featuring women and girls from across the globe. A year later she directed the powerful ‘Freedom’ (featuring the standout track from Beyonce’s Lemonade album) which between the two campaigns, amassed millions of views. Following on for Global Goals, MJ released ‘Think’, a homage to the late Aretha Franklin and a powerful call for improving education for girls around the world.
