DIME DAVIS is an Emmy-nominated director and writer based in Los Angeles. Most recently, she directed episodes of the Emmy-winning comedy series Abbott Elementary, starring Quinta Brunson and Sheryl Lee Ralph, as well as episodes of the Fox comedy series Welcome to Flatch. She also served as writer and consulting producer for The First Lady on Showtime, starring Viola Davis, Gillian Anderson, and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Dime also directed and Co-Executive Produced A Black Lady Sketch Show, where she helmed the entirety of Season 1 and received two Emmy nominations for her work, cementing her reputation as a bold comedic voice with a sharp visual style.
She served as the pilot and finale director for Season 1 of Boomerang, created by Lena Waithe. Her creative leadership proved so integral to the series that she was elevated to Showrunner and Executive Producer for Season 2, writing and directing half of the season’s episodes. Dime’s additional television credits include Modern Love and The Chi.
In addition to her television and film work, Dime has directed commercial campaigns for major global brands including Google Chromebook, Square, Old Spice, Nissan, and Disney. She recently collaborated with Google again on a new campaign, directing acclaimed actors Stanley Tucci and Simone Ashley.
